This special tasting set allows you to enjoy two expressions of Japanese tea:

  • Hand-Rolled Tea, crafted by Japan’s top tea artisan Eiji Komuro, holder of the nation’s No.1 hand-rolled tea title.

  • Sencha, celebrated for its refreshing balance of astringency and sweetness, also crafted by Komuro.

Hand-Rolled Tea

Carefully hand-picked and hand-rolled by Komuro over 3.5 hours, this tea is a rare creation.
Traditionally, award-winning hand-rolled teas require 7 hours of rolling to produce just 1kg, making them extremely scarce.
This version, while shortened to half the time, is crafted as the perfect introduction to the world of hand-rolled tea.
It is characterized by low bitterness, a silky texture, and a clean, transparent taste.

Sencha

A classic Japanese tea with a harmonious balance of gentle astringency and sweetness.
Its refreshing aroma and smooth drinkability make it an ideal everyday tea, perfect to accompany meals.

How to brew

Hand-Rolled Tea

Hot: Place 4g of tea leaves in a teapot, add 100ml of hot water (70℃ / 158°F), and steep for 60 seconds. Pour out every last drop before serving. A second infusion can also be enjoyed.

Iced: Place 6g of leaves in a teapot, add 150ml of hot water (85℃ / 185°F), steep for 60 seconds, then pour over a glass filled with ice.

Cold Brew: Place 10g of leaves in a bottle with 1L of cold water (approx. 10℃ / 50°F). Steep for 5 hours, then remove the leaves.

Sencha

Hot: Place 3g of tea leaves in a teapot, add 150ml of hot water (70℃ / 158°F), and steep for 60 seconds. Pour out every last drop before serving. A second infusion can also be enjoyed.

Iced & Cold Brew: Brew in the same way as Hand-Rolled Tea.
